Anemone Shirt/shirt dress

Description:

This pattern is a lovely shirt and shirt dress for children aged 1–12 years. A cute ruffle is sewn along the shoulder, giving it a playful look. The shirt features a regular button placket, finished with a mandarin collar at the top. The long sleeves are finished with elastic by the wrists. For the dress version, a gathered skirt is attached at the waist, falling to about knee length. The fit is loose, allowing the child to move freely.

Recommended fabric: 

Choose a light- to medium-weight fabric idealy made from natural fibers such as cotton, viscose, or linen, as these will be the most comfortable for the child to wear. You can also choose fabrics with a fiber blend between natural and synthetic fibers. Recommended weaves include plain weave, satin, crepe, twill, jaquard etc.

Unsuitable fabric:

Heavy or very stiff fabric as well as all knitted fabric types (jersey)
