About Beklaedt
Hi, we are Ida and Iben - and we are here to help you make your sewing dreams come true!
We both fell in love with sewing as children. Taking a flat piece of cloth and transforming it into a garment you can wear is just pure magic! We are endlessly fascinated by the world of textiles, craftsmanship and traditions that all go into creating the clothes we wear everyday.
In fact, our shared love of sewing is what brought us together. We met at a "Frocktails" event in Aarhus, Denmark, a couple of years ago, and we hit it off straight away.
In 2023 Iben took the plunge - quit her office job and founded Beklaedt - the first Scandinavian-based sewing pattern company to actively include FREE full-length video tutorials on how to sew each and every garment!
In 2026 Ida joined Beklaedt as co-founder. Ida's professional background in pattern making and construction, as well as her many years as a pattern technician in various clothing companies, makes her a strong partner and a valuable asset to Beklaedt.
Our goal is to help YOU achieve the fit and finish of your dreams! With the help of Beklaedt's sewing patterns, we are one step closer!
