About Beklaedt
Hi, I'm Iben - and I am YOUR new online sewing teacher!
I fell in love with sewing when I was about 10 years old. To me, taking a flat piece of cloth and transforming it into a garment you can wear is just pure magic! I'm endlessly fascinated by the world of textiles, craftsmanship and traditions that all go into creating the clothes we wear everyday.
Over the years I've tried a range of different sewing patterns. Some projects turned out magnificent, others... well. You know how it goes sometimes. The fit would be totally off and the written instructions made no sense.
Sewing is a hands-on craft and so you need a pair of hands to show you how to do things. That's when I realized, that if I feel this way, I bet loads of other folks feel the same!
In 2023 I took the plunge - quit my office job and founded Beklaedt - the first Scandinavian-based sewing pattern company to actively include FREE full-length video tutorials on how to sew each and every garment!
My goal is to help YOU achieve the fit and finish of your dreams! With the help of Beklaedt's sewing patterns, we are one step closer!
